Configure Windows XP/Vista Outlook 2007

Information on how to configure Outlook 2007 on a Windows XP/Vista computer for use with the UVa centralized Exchange server.
You must have a UVa IP address before attempting the configuration process. If you are off-Grounds, you must have a connection via UVa Anywhere to configure Outlook 2007 on a Windows XP/Vista computer. You will need to know your Eservices/Exchange password, and have a UVa centralized Exchange account to be able to use Outlook 2007 on the UVa centralized Exchange server.

Windows XP/Vista Outlook 2007 Configuration Information

From an on-Grounds connection to the UVa network:

  1. Go to the Control Panel.
  2. Click on the Windows Control Panel Mail Icon icon.
  3. Click on the Show Profiles button.
  4. Click the Add button.
  5. Specify a name for the Profile.
  6. Enter requested information: email address must be given similar to mst3k@eservices.virginia.edu.
  7. Click on the Next> button.
  8. Allow Auto-Discoverer to work. If prompted for username and password, user name is similar to eservices\mst3k and password is your Eservices/Exchange password.
  9. Click the Finish button.
