Microsoft Exchange

Exchange-Related Service Fees

[Nov 23, 2009 14:09] Web access to Microsoft Live@edu accounts now works.

There is no fee associated with basic use of UVa’s Exchange service. Additional fees are only applicable at this time for BlackBerry BES users and for additional storage space beyond the 2 GB limit.

BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) Fees

The University has approved the cost basis for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) as follows:

  • One-time RIM Enterprise license purchase: $57.08
  • Annual fee: $88.80 ($7.40 per month)
  • The annual amount will be pro-rated to the end of the fiscal year from the beginning of service, and handled via IDT. IDTs for the next fiscal year occur in July/August. The PTAO on file will be used unless ITC is notified otherwise.

Mailbox Restoration Fee

There is no fee for restores of deleted mailboxes or messages during the University’s transition to Exchange.

Additional Storage Fees

Extra storage for Exchange accounts follows the same fee structure as that of other disk space purchases from ITC Micro Systems. All disk charges are pro-rated to the fiscal year. Send email to itc-microsystems@virginia.edu for further details.
